From chronicling social movements like Occupy Los Angeles and California’s housing crisis to crafting whimsical, multilingual children’s films like Stella and Ella, Conn combines journalistic rigor with cinematic artistry. He directs, produces, shoots, and edits all of his projects, embracing classic filmmaking techniques while exploring the edge of technology and experimental approaches. Across every genre, his lens is tender and precise, capturing both the complexity of human experience and the intimate details of everyday life.
