Desert Echoes Flute Project
Desert Echoes Flute Project is an exciting and adventurous flute choir program based in the Phoenix metropolitan area and is sponsored by the Music Department of Mesa Community College. Members of the flute choir known as DEFproject are selected through an audition process. The DEF Chamber Choir is a smaller ensemble comprised of flutists from DEFproject and typically performs as a true chamber ensemble without a conductor. The DEF Community Flute Choir began in 2016 and is open to flutists without an audition. DEFproject was founded by Artistic Director Christina Steffen in 2006.
