Federico Malagutti HEMA
Hello HEMA friends! I'm Federico, HEMA Instructor, Swordsman and Martial Artist.
I have always been a lover of swords, medieval history and fantasy (Warhammer, LOTR, Forgotten realms). In 2011 I began my adventure in the world of historical re-enactment which led me to discover HEMA in 2012.
Since that year, I have been practicing and studying HEMA with a group of friends and this unintentionally led me to become an instructor. Since 2014 I have been teaching regularly and since 2016 I have held seminars around Italy and abroad.
My first field of study was German Longsword fencing, I then moved on to study I.33 in 2013 and finally landed on the manuals of Fiore dei Liberi in 2016.
I also practiced other martial arts, including Japanese Ju Jutsu (4 years) and Jo-Do (4 years) I also had brief experiences of several months of training in Aikido and Boxing. I also regularly practice Traditional Archery as a relaxing hobby. Since September 2021 I also approached the study of Kick Boxing.
