GRUNEWALD INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION
Grunewald International Music Competition in the former Mendelssohn family palace in the middle of Berlin's Grunewald, will take place on March 1 - 10, 2024.
Open for four string instrument groups - violin, viola, cello & double bass, divided into two to four age groups and judged by internationally famous musicians. The competition is aimed at young talented musicians from all over the world, and will welcome them to Berlin, Germany.
The goals of the competition are to support highly talented young musicians on their career path, to enable exchange, to establish contact with recognized soloists and professors, to expand experiences and to contribute to international understanding. The competition also supports young artists through cash prizes, non-cash prizes and vouchers. Particular emphasis is placed on arranging concert engagements in order to provide the young artists with the best possible support as they start their careers, including a performance in the Berlin Philharmonic.
