Jan and Gayle Rabe
My husband Jan, and I enjoy adventures and do a variety of activities. I'm 71 and my husband is nearing 70. We started rock climbing after I had a serious Crohn's Disease flare when I was 60, which left me hospitalised and too weak to walk. This exercise a found enjoyable and I soon built muscle. Our advertures over the past 10 years have included, trad climbing, sports climbing, whitewater kayaking, canyoneering, scuba diving and bush walking. Though diagnosed with a rare blood cancer (Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia) and many months of setbacks and weight loss, I still keep up with my adventures and find happiness in the outdoors.
