We moved from a major city to southern Illinois almost 17 years ago to live on our family farm. We raise cattle, hay, and horses and along with our kids we run Dogwood Hills Cattle Company & our commercial hay operations Just Say Hay. We get asked a lot why we left corporate America to live in (what most people consider to be) the middle of nowhere. Dena had a successful job at a Fortune 100 company and I was a successful engineer and producer in the entertainment industry. We believed there had to be a better way to live life. After 17 years of living this life, we'll share some of the lessons, tips & tricks to make the transition from the big city to a small town. We'll also share how we have successfully used technology to work with major corporations while living in rural America for over a decade, farming adventures, and the ways to deal with the stress of managing a successful company, raising a family, and managing a farm in pretty difficult times.
