MusicBoxBoy
Greetings! Welcome to my antique disc music box and phonograph channel! I guess you can tell by my videos that I enjoy collecting and listening to early music boxes and phonographs a LOT! All of the machines featured in my videos are from my collection and have been restored by me. I learned a lot about early music boxes and phonographs in the process of restoring my own and I know that I still have much more to learn. A long time antique phonograph and record collector, I have always been captivated by the delightfully primitive yet incredibly satisfying sounds that are produced by these early mechanical music machines. I consider these early music machines and their recordings as time machines that, by listening, can transport us back to a delightfully slower time. The time period when these machines and records were new really appeals to me. I'm hoping to post a mix of both music box and phonograph videos from my collection. All of my videos were captured as simply as you can imagine and have had no sound editing whatsoever. I simply cranked up the machine, put on a selection, switched on a nearby lamp, grabbed one of my camcorders and shot the video. I thank you for stopping in for a visit and hope that you enjoy my videos!
