Stoic psychology

Wellcome to my channel "Stoic Psychology" is the study of the mind and behavior through the lens of Stoic philosophy. Rooted in ancient Greek and Roman thought, it emphasizes the development of inner resilience, emotional regulation, and rational thinking. Stoic psychology teaches that while we can't control external events, we can control our perceptions, judgments, and responses. Key concepts include distinguishing between what's within our control and what isn't, practicing mindfulness, cultivating virtues like wisdom and courage, and using reason to align thoughts and actions with nature and moral purpose. Modern Stoic psychology also intersects with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which borrows many techniques from Stoic practices to treat anxiety, stress, and negative thinking.
