Inst of Mind, Intelligence & Consciousness Studies
The Institute of Mind, Intelligence and Consciousness Studies (IMICS) seeks to advance human knowledge through cutting-edge research on mind, intelligence, consciousness and the nature of reality — topics which connect science, philosophy and theology. Comprehensive investigations of these topics require a highly interdisciplinary team. IMICS is a virtual institution that hosts such a team — it is a collective of researchers and students from across the world — with diverse backgrounds ranging from to neuroscience, physics, biology, astronomy, medicine and engineering to philosophy and theology. A related focus area for IMICS is leveraging Eastern knowledge and current science to advance our understanding of consciousness. Although currently in its infancy, IMICS also seeks to drive education and outreach programs related to mind, intelligence, consciousness and the nature of reality.
