What's Good English

What’s Good English is an educational channel devoted to helping people learning English understand how the language is truly spoken outside of the classroom and the conference room. I go in depth introducing and explaining the many different uses of slang, common phrases and idioms, as well as show how us native speakers regularly and purposefully break the gramatical rules in our natural speech. The other goal of the channel is to present and explain AAVE (African American Vernacular English) to both learners of English and also to raise awareness of this rich and interesting way of speaking the language which has and still does provide many of common phrases and words native speakers use today. I hope to erase the stigma attached to it and show that it’s not bad or broken English, nor do its speakers lack intelligence or education - it‘s just one of the many variants of the language and deserves respect. Enjoy!
