Ted B
Dedicated to preserving the very best of pop/rock music from the 60's/70's, with an emphasis on less well known songs/artists that are in danger of being forgotten. I have found over the years that often the best songs by popular artists don't chart well, because they are not "commercial" enough.
As evident from my videos, my tastes range from light to heavy. I look for melody and beauty and love songs with a good/positive/thoughtful message.
Some of the best music I have ever heard came from BBC "Top of the Pops from London", particularly from lesser know groups. These songs which were recorded in the BBC studios during a single day, often had a spontaneity and energy which meant that they were (to me) much better than the formal, over produced record versions that followed. I taped many of the songs at the time but the quality is variable. I began by posting several of these songs on you tube and replace them if/when better versions become available.
