Joe Collado

Award Winning Percussionist Joe Collado has sought and accomplished many goals in his life time. Using his God given multi-talented skills, music is the latest and proudest one of all. His five recorded CD's has fulfilled all his expectations. He credits his childhood experiences thru what the streets of Brooklyn, NYC had to offered as true survival and a awakening thru the Grace of God. A needed exodus also from NYC gave him a new beginning and opportunities that he was certain to take advantage of this time around. Playing Collegiate Basketball as a walk on help him also in supporting the finances for a college degree, leading to a career as a role model teacher. From a young lost Nuyorican to a well respected family man is what Joe believes life is all about. Everything else is a result of labor from his God given directed talents. He is now leader/writer of his own famous successful recorded group, "LATIN GROOVE PROJECT" and also leads his Santana Tribute Band called "SMOOTH STB".
