Sophia Bracken

Clarinetist Sophia Bracken is committed to making classical music accessible for communities across the country. Having performed in venues including bookstores, art galleries, and assisted living facilities, Ms. Bracken strives to bring music into familiar settings for audiences unfamiliar with the genre.

As a soloist, Ms. Bracken has won several awards. She is the first prize winner of both the Sidney Forrest Clarinet Competition and the Treasure Coast Symphony Concerto Competition and has twice appeared as a semifinalist in the Jacqueline Avent Concerto Competition. Her playing has been praised as “expressive with lovely tone” by Sandra Chappell of the US Naval Academy Band.

Currently pursuing a BM in music performance at the Peabody Conservatory, Ms. Bracken studies under Alexander Fiterstein and has performed in masterclasses for Boris Allakhverdyan, Charles Neidich, and Sang Yoon Kim.
