Jake Reed is a professional drummer based in Los Angeles who has performed/recorded with Kali Uchis, d4vd, Katy Perry, Tyrese, Artemas, Khalid, Kait Dunton, LA Phil, Laufey, Siddhartha, IDK, Seth MacFarlane, Glen Hansard, Benny Sings, Logic, Larry Goldings, Les McCann, Freda Payne, RUEL, Bruce Forman, Bill Holman, and Johnny Mandel. TV/film: Thelma, The Color Purple (2023), Palm Royale, Megamind, The Old Man, Grotesquerie, Cobra Kai, Paint, Renfield, Twisted Metal, MLB/NFL Fox Sports. He authored the instructional book Jazz Drumset Etudes (Alfred Music), been published in Modern Drummer, released a solo album Reed Between the Lines (2020), and 6 sample packs: SUPER LIVE DRUMS, SUPER DEAD DRUMS VOL 1-4, and SUPER NATURAL DRUMS. He has a BM from the Cincinnati Conservatory, and an MM & DMA from USC where he was Peter Erskine’s TA for 5 years. He endorses Gretsch, Zildjian, Vic Firth, and Remo.
