Tālatāla Le Ta'ui
Traditionally, Samoans stored knowledge in their memories, & passed them on verbally or by practical application. Because knowledge is power, Samoans tend to share sparingly. The fear, of course, is that as the guardians of Samoan knowledge pass on, so will their wisdom. A larger fear is that the practice of withholding knowledge shields information, traditional & beyond from accountability & credibility checks. This podcast “Tālatāla le Ta’ui” looks to provide a forum to seek and share knowledge possessed & guarded by traditional & public leaders, experts & professionals, laymen and commoners. The title of my podcast means to cautiously & meticulously unroll “Tālatāla” a rolled-up bundle of items, "Ta'ui". My hope is to carefully open-up the bundles of knowledge that my guests bring in order to share with listeners to empower them. God willing, I hope this platform will yield a benefit that will survive of us and future generations of Samoan ancestry. Soifua.
