Sylvia Bay has been studying and practising Buddha's teaching since 1992. She graduated with a B.A. (Hons) First Class, in Buddhist Studies, from the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka in 2000 and taught at the Buddhist and Pali College (Singapore) in 2001. Sylvia is well versed in Buddhist history and doctrines and is known as an insightful speaker on the practical application of the Buddha's teachings in daily life. She speaks at various Buddhist centres in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. Sylvia also holds a B.Soc.Sci (Hons), NUS and a Masters in International Public Policy, School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins.

Sylvia published her first book in May 2014, "Between The Lines: An Analytical Appreciation of Buddha's Life". She is now in the midst of writing her second book, "Towards the Light".
