ShorelineConcertBand
SHORELINE CONCERT BAND is directed by Mr. Ken Noreen, director since 1994. The Assistant Director is Mr. Chris Davis. Members are both enrolled students of Shoreline Community College and the community who participate through the Continuing Education program. The band plays a variety of high quality music including many of the favorite band compositions of the past to original pieces written for the SCC Band. The band plays three concerts a year, performs at graduation, and does one tour a year.
The band gives students of SCC the chance to play in a quality band ensemble as a part of their college experience. It also offers community members the same opportunity without enrolling as a credit student at the college. We exist to give to the community and people associated with the college high quality concerts for their enjoyment. Every concert features a guest ensemble and/or soloist. Each year a member of the President's Own U.S. Marine Band appears with the band as a guest soloist.
