Newcastle Central (OO Gauge)
OO gauge model train layout of the East Coast Main Line (ECML) focused around Newcastle Central, Gateshead, and the Tyne Yard.
Set in the late 1980s/early 1990s, the layout covers British Rail locomotives and rolling stock just prior to privatization. Mainly passenger trains such as Class 43 HSTs (Intercity 125) and Class 91s (Intercity 225), along with goods trains operating around the yard.
This is going be a slow and gentle build - I work full-time and have two young kids that keep me pretty busy. I participate in local model train shows and I'm a member of a Great Northern & Cascade Railway (http://www.greatnortherncascaderailway.com/), a 1/8th gauge railway that gives ride to the public. So, don't expect weekly videos with huge amounts of progress on this layout! Newcastle Central in OO gauge has been a dream for a while, so I don't want to rush things. Subscribe and follow along as I make progress!
