I'm an artist and photographer so when I lost vision in my left eye about 5 months ago, I was devastated! After many visits to the doctor and eye specialist I found out I had late-stage diabetic retinopathy. My sugar is under control now thank God!!! I also had cataract in both eyes. After cataract surgery in my left eye, I was still blind and so disappointed that I still couldn't see.! I have been receiving injections in my eyes for 3 months now and on November 25th I had Laser surgery on my left eye to remove the blood behind it which occurred when I had a hemorrhage that caused the blindness! So today I'm grateful for my eyesight, grateful I can still see to draw and take pictures. I said if I could see again, I would paint and draw every day and learn all I can. That is why I'm here. I'm here to learn how to use different art materials and improve my artwork. Never take anything for granted. I took my eyesight for granted and didn't use the talents that I had. Follow my journey.
