Chicago Multicultural Dance Center

The Chicago Multicultural Dance Center (CMDC) has been changing lives through dance for over twenty years, providing a safe and welcoming environment for students to pursue serious dance training. CMDC provides classical ballet as well as modern, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance training to students of all abilities and socioeconomic backgrounds.

CMDC was founded in 1990 by Homer Hans Bryant, a former principal dancer with the Dance Theater of Harlem. Prior to growing his studio Bryant also worked to teach and train dancers with Cirque Du Soleil's early productions of Mystere, Alegria, Quidam and Saltimbanco. Many of CMDC's former students have performed in Cirque Productions around the world as well as dance companies like Alvin Ailey and North Carolina Dance Theater. Mr. Bryant is one of the most respected teachers around the world. In 2012 he was invited to teach master classes of his Floor Ballet at the Dance Open Ballet Festival in Russia.
