Anchorage Fire Department
Anchorage Fire Department is an ISO Class 1 public safety department that serves a population of approximately 291,000 residents in Alaska's most populous city of the state. Emergency response services are delivered from 13 stations located throughout the city. The department employs 450 personnel and averages more than 45,000 responses per year. AFD is a full-service fire agency, serving the public through fire suppression, advanced life support, swift water rescue, dive rescue, hazardous materials, urban search and rescue, wildfire response, and crisis intervention.
