Desert Ridge Storm Chasing
I'm Ray! Welcome to Desert Ridge Storm Chasing! Based in Arizona, the southwest presents a different side of severe weather many throughout the nation may not be familiar with. This can play a significant role to those who dare to tread recklessly in our neck of the woods. Ultimately, thunderstorms can occur in the desert on any given day, bringing the usual occurrences of rain, thunder, lightning, and high winds, ending in breathtaking colorful sunsets. However, during Monsoon Season, which is our peak time of the year in the Summer, can also bring hazardous and potentially deadly weather, such as dust storms, haboobs, flash floods, hail, microbursts, gustnadoes, squall lines, mesocyclones, funnel clouds, even tornadoes. All these things can occur amidst unforgiving heat in a vast range up to 122 degrees. Dust devils are childs play when it comes to the desert! Live storm chases are coming soon on this channel. Enjoy these videos in the desert, and always stay weather savvy!
