Eldar Saparayev

Eldar Saparayev is a Kazakh-German cellist and conductor whom Jacques Leiser, the artist manager of Maria Calls, described as “Eldar is not only a virtuoso in the grand style of past eras, but he is also a true musician and poet, who plays with great passion and individuality.”

Mr. Saparayev is artistic director of „Klassik Konstanz“ foundation in Germany.

• As a Soloist as well as a principal cellist he collaborates with the Bayerischen Staatsoper under Peter Eötvös and Kent Nagano, Zurich Kammer Orchestra under the button and Krzysztof Penderecki, Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz under Heinrich Schiff, Reinhard Goebel, New European Strings under Dmitry Sitkovetsky.

Eldar has performed as chamber musician with notable artists such as Dmitri Sitkovetsky, Radu Lupu, Alena Baeva, Eldar Nebolsin, Gerhard Schulz, Dimitri Ashkenazy, David Geringas, Juliana Avdeeva, Kolya Blacher and other.

Eldar Saparayev is a Professor of University of the Art in Ljubljana.
