Manchester Fly Facility
The Manchester Fly Facility supports Drosophila-related research through infrastructure, services, advice, training and active collaboration with researchers which are new to the fly. It was established with funding from the Wellcome Trust and The University of Manchester. We also generate concepts and resources for science communication: (1) we engange in public outreach activities designed to raise awareness of the importance of Drosophila-related research, and (2) we collaborate with schools to promote the use of flies as a powerful means to teach curriculum-relevant biology specifications in engaging ways that reflect contemporary research and therefore relevance. For further details visit our webpage (http://www.flyfacility.ls.manchester.ac.uk) or follow @ManFlyFacility on Twitter, and feel free to contact us if you would like further information or to collaborate with us.
