NUS Civil and Environmental Engineering
The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE), is formed on 27 September 2010.
The CEE department has grown from strength to strength. Over the past decade, we have been consistently ranked amongst the top civil and environmental engineering programs internationally. As of 2015, the QS World University Ranking has placed us 3rd for civil engineering and 10th for environmental sciences. We have graduated numerous engineer-leaders who have gone on to make significant contributions to society. Our illustrious alumni include Cabinet Minister Yaacob Ibrahim, former Capitaland CEO and Changi Airport Group Chairman Professor Liew Mun Leong, former President of the Professional Engineers Board Mr Lau Joo Ming and former President of the Institution of Engineers Singapore Mr Tan Seng Chuan. Also, many students may not know it, but two of the Vice Provosts of the University are CEE alumni!
