CaLa Joi Ma'at - The Unburdened Heart
Based in the heart of England I'm a neurodivergent singer-songwriter, rhythmist, music producer, author and healer-awakener.
I write, record and produce all my own music. I'm a poetry scholar from a long line of troupers and troubadours with a love of word play and story-telling.
I'm fascinated by rhythm and the way sound provides embodied connection to subtle energy frequencies that can transform hurt into healing.
I create genre-blending music rooted in global folk, roots and ethnic traditions with influences from jazz, rock and pop. My sound shares DNA with Ani DiFranco, Sinéad O'Connor, Peter Gabriel, Maddy Prior, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel.
As creator of The Unburdened Heart, I perform spoken and channelled vocalisations and offer meditations as vibrational healing experiences.
I sing my truth to unburden hearts, offer my voice to raise the vibration of all beings, and share my creativity as healing for the wounds of the world.
