The band amarElas is a musical project that draws on the choral power of female Brazilian artists living in Vancouver. They harmonize along themes of femininity and identity, while emphasizing joy, love and vibrant colors. Their repertoire blends original music and songs from genres such as MPB, Samba, Forro, Bossa Nova to bring a new flavor to music of the Brazilian people in a diasporic context.
