Here, I will be creating content relating to all things health and social care 🙂 I have worked in various settings within health and social care for around 15 years, a lot of that in care homes, with a couple of breaks in between to work in the hospitality industry (more to come on my work background!). I have a few decent qualifications too, but I am NOT an expert!! My aim for this channel is to hopefully build a community where people can share ideas and opinions, support each other to learn and to be better at what they do. I won't be able to discuss any specific details of my current job role, because it is important that I maintain our position of independence and maintain the confidentiality of the people we support. Having said that, my current job is not a secret. I'm an independent advocate and I would be happy to discuss the role of an advocate in a general sense, if people want to know more.
