Fred Pedley
My Grandfather Fred Pedley (known as Grandpop) was born in 1913 in Middleton, near Manchester. From a young age he was interested in photography and film making and he documented his family life, their travels around Great Britain and Europe, his work in the aeronautical engineering industry and even moments of national significance.
Some of his vast collection of films spanning the period from the early 1940s to the 1970s were transferred from 16mm cine film to DVD for the family around 20 years ago and I have started converting those DVDs to MP4 and will be uploading them to Youtube when I can, so they can be seen by the wider world.
