Snake Therapy with Shira Loa

Snake Therapy is dedicated to education about snakes and their ability to have profound impacts on our mental and emotional well-being. Combining passion for snakes with discussions about the human condition and animal welfare, our mission is to remove the fear and stigmas associated with snakes and replace them with empathy and wonder, as well as to increase knowledge about their husbandry and behavior for those who keep them as pets.
I've spent over a year researching the therapeutic effects reptiles have on people with Neurodivergence in order to give voice to the animals and people who society considers "outcasts"... so if you'd like to contribute or be part of episodes highlighting the topic, please fill out the Reptiles and Neurodiversity survey in the links below!
Shira has spent the last 25+ years caring for snakes, and is the Treasurer and a Reptile handler for an Animal Therapy nonprofit called The Little Zoo.
