Mike Dawson

I play rock and blues on electric and acoustic guitar, usually accompanied by backing tracks to save space in live venues and enable a quicker set-up time.

My Strat is an American, Fender Custom Shop version in midnight blue. It has a fabulous, slim-profile, maple neck.

My Les Paul is a 1960 reissue (vintage original spec), with an extremely slim neck. Incredibly, Gibson stopped producing Les Paul guitars in 1960, due to lack of sales (leading them to launch the SG Standard). Only 635 Les Pauls were manufactured in 1960; the surviving ones are worth a fortune. Mine's a recreation of a Les Paul Standard from mid 1960, with the 'slim taper' neck profile.

My acoustic was handmade by two amazing luthiers: David Lipkin and Haim Algranati, who are based in north London (http://www.lastrings.co.uk/index.html). Incredible guys and I strongly recommend them.
