An experimental myth about the creation of the universe
Alex Harsley is a self-taught, conceptual artist who explores dimensions of reality and entanglement, through the mediums of film and video. His creative endeavor started as a street photographer in 1958 when he took his first image on a 35 mm camera.
The not-for-profit Minority Photographers Inc, was founded in 1971 by Alex Harsley and a crew of underrepresented artists who had been meeting and collaborating in Harsley’s Essex St. apartment for several years. In 1973 they obtained a gallery space to showcase the work of such artists and called it The 4th Street Photo Gallery.
