I was in the US Navy from 1969-1972, and served aboard one of the now extinct Auxiliary Repair (AR) ships. During my 2 WESTPAC cruises, I visited Vietnam, Subic Bay, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Sasebo. Sasebo was my favorite port, maybe because I spent over 9 months in port during this pretty exciting time in my life. I'd be happy to hear from any military serving there now, or anyone else with a knowledge of Sasebo today. If any of you could give me a translation of the song in my Sasebo 72 video, that would be great. I've had the vinyl 45 since way back then.
