Capital Institute's mission is to explore and effect the economic transition to a more just, regenerative, and thus sustainable way of living on this earth through the transformation of finance. The organization's core project is its Field Guide to Investing in a Regenerative Economy, which enlists the power of storytelling both to inspire activism around its vision of the emerging Regenerative Economy and to ground its thought leadership in practice. The Field Guide profiles exemplary enterprises that operate from a “holistic value” perspective to restore what the “extractive-value” economy has damaged, and the project was honored to be shortlist in the Communications Category of the 2014 Guardian Sustainable Business Awards.
