Mountain Heart Homestead
We retired and moved to the mountains of rural West Virginia to build a resilient homestead. Our goal is to be as self-sustaining as possible. To accomplish that, we garden, forage, raise various animals, hunt, and preserve as much as possible. We believe that our land and the animals we raise deserve our respect and best husbandry efforts, so we practice natural/organic methods to the best of our abilities. Our income is derived from a modest pension and whatever income we can generate from our crafting and homestead.
