Aneka Theatre
An experimental theatre group based in the Indian city of Bangalore spearheads Kannada theatre today with its most enthralling productions of masterpieces of Indian and world drama. Born with new aspirations and a desire to serve as a platform for debating contemporary socio-cultural issues, while exploring new possibilities in the language of theatre.
Founded by one of the great theatre personality and insightful director of the current Indian scenario Mr. Suresh Anagalli. Aneka denotes and aims to uphold the plurality of our culture. Our productions attempt to rediscover or create myths and play them out against issues arising out of their negotiations with modernity and modernization or use them to address perceptions of gender, power, ethnicity, conflicts, violence, terror, etc.
