Alanvale and The Lazy Farmer

Alan is a retired Industrial Arts Teacher who has returned to West Arthur Shire to retire on the land close to where he first taught. He is trained in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering and as a child with the encouragement of his father, was laying bricks at the age of three. He believes if you want a job done properly, if possible, do it yourself and considers himself a little bit OCD (but not as much as his wife). In year 11 at school, he wrote in an essay to his English Teacher that he wanted to become a Teacher because he could do a better job. Teacher, Jillian Oakley read it out in class and dared him. He has served as Deacon and Elder in Protestant Churches, 12 years as City of Wanneroo and 2 years as Shire of West Arthur Councillor. He believes honesty and commitment are essential in any relationship including YouTube. He farms part time on Alanvale and supports his wife Bronwyn who works from home in the City of Perth, Western Australia.
