Blake Paulson
Blake Paulson is a versatile musician recognized as a session drummer, music producer, bandleader, educator, and author. With over 500 recordings, he’s collaborated with artists like Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, and Demi Lovato, and worked with studios including Netflix, Disney, and Paramount. Blake’s range spans from acclaimed producers to independent musicians.
Before the pandemic, Blake performed 50+ shows annually with artists like Hayley Orrantia and The Dales. He co-founded the Backliners (2007–2015) and established Vose Street Sound (formerly Unleashed Drum Studio) in 2014, a leading recording and teaching facility. In 2016, he co-founded the LA Session Group, a top LA musician collective.
As an educator, Blake has inspired countless musicians through private lessons and five award-nominated drum method books, including Drumset Coordination (Hal Leonard) and Groove Fundamentals (Hudson Music).
