AS Geography

Amit Sarkar is a young geographer from West Bengal, India. He holds a Bachelor of Science's degree in Geography and a Master of Science's degree in Geography from West Bengal State University. He holds a degree in Geoinformatics (Remote Sensing and GIS) from Jadavpur University. He holds a Bachelor of Education's degree in Geography from West Bengal University of Teachers Training, Education Planning and Administration. He has qualified UGC NET JRF, CSIR NET and WB SET. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Applied Geomorphology from University of Calcutta. He worked as a UGC Junior Research Fellow and UGC Senior Research Fellow during his Ph.D. Now he is working as a Lecturer in Geography at Gobardanga Hindu College. He has published more than 20 scientific research works in national and international journals. He has presented more than 10 research works in national and international conferences/seminars. Now he is actively engaged in Physical Geography research.
