Mezcal Wizard

Mezcal Wizard is a sludge / groove metal band from Marseille, southern France. The band was originally formed in November of 2024 by Sam Melchionne (guitar, vocals) and Yolan Chiotti (bass), quickly joined by a friend of them on drums. They played a couple shows playing mainly heavy metal covers like Black Sabbath or Pentagram, until the original drummer left the band in may of 2025. They were right after joined by drummer Quentin Sauvage and changed radically their sound by playing a more heavy, sludgy metal, inspired by bands like Pantera, Acid Bath or Eyehategod.
