Fire or Knot
This channel provides training on knots, lashings and fire starting. This is run by a father/son in scouting and provide this as a service. Additionally, the son is hoping there will be enough value over time that proceeds from this channel will pay for part of a high-adventure trip (probably northern tier). UPDATE 2022: That was our plans years ago and as monetization levels changed on this video site no payments were made and we lost motivation. This summer we decided to restart activity as we reached over 1,000 subscribers.
Knots: square, overhand, granny, sheetbend, tautline, bowline, two half-hitches; timber hitch, clove hitch, sheepshank, figure eight, carrick bend, thief's knot
Lashings: square, japanese mark IV square, tripod, shear, diagonal
Fire: flint steel, bow drill, magnifying glass, steel wool, cotton, magnesium, etc.
