Evelyn Rose Quilt Company

Hi, I’m Kayla. I come from a long line of quilters and sewers, and I do mean a long line. My great-grandma always had a loaded quilting frame set up in her living room. The adults would sit around the frame in the available seats while we kids used it as a premade fort. When my grandma, Evelyn, was young, she would randomly decide to whip up an outfit for her and her sister, and without patterns, she created stylish wardrobes. Although her modesty won’t allow her to acknowledge how awesome that actually is. My grandma, Rosemary, would make our Easter and Christmas dresses. Every quilt that ever graced my bed was made by her. In fact, I felt sorry for all my friends who had those cozy, fluffy comforters because they didn’t have anyone to make a quilt for them. My mother is the one who taught me to sew; she even let me take her beloved Bernina with me to college. These women shared their gifts, talents and knowledge with me, and now I’m sharing them with you.
