Safiri Overland

Safiri is Kiswahili for travel and the channel is so named 'Safiri Overland' !

Join me on my 4x4 overland adventures to Kenya's 23 National Parks, 28 National Reserves, 4 marine National Parks, 6 marine National Reserves and 4 national sanctuaries.

In 2020, I decided to realise my dream of visiting, exploring and spending at least one night in all of Kenya's 23 National Parks and 28 National Reserves. In 2021, I bought a 4x4, settling for a 1996 Suzuki Sierra/Samurai/SJ410, partly for the satisfaction of restoring a much admired classic, budget constraints and to allow me all weather access to the parks. In addition to the Suzuki, I occasionally borrow a friend's Land Rover Defender 110 and have recently acquired a Range Rover L322, for the longer trips.
