The Alabama School of Math and Science
The Alabama School of Mathematics and Science is our state's only fully public & residential high school for 10th-12th graders seeking advanced studies in math, science, computer science, and the humanities. ASMS serves students from all 67 counties. Tuition, room, & board are free as the school is funded by the state. ASMS is one of the only Cognia STEM-certified schools in Alabama and is considered a STEM legacy school in the U.S.
ASMS is set apart by an accelerated curriculum, college-level academics, living-learning environment, leadership opportunities, and research focus not available anywhere else in the state. ASMS has a history of improving students' educational outcomes from enrollment to graduation -- standardized test scores, grades, college admissions offers, scholarship packages, etc. Our 30+ years of graduates are a testimony to this success as they lead the way in every sector - engineering, tech, cybersecurity, research, medicine, government, law, education, & more.
