Northern Traverse

The Northern Traverse® is a 300km self-supported ultra across England, following Wainwright’s iconic Coast to Coast route. Starting at St Bees on the west coast, it crosses three National Parks—the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and North York Moors—before finishing at Robin Hood’s Bay, tackling ~6,500m of ascent along the way.

The Lakes Traverse® (100km) follows the same start, crossing the Lake District via Ennerdale, Borrowdale, Grisedale Tarn, and Kidsty Pike before finishing in Shap.

The Dales Traverse® (55km) runs from Kirkby Stephen to Richmond, climbing Nine Standards before weaving through Swaledale to finish below Richmond Castle.

The Moors Traverse® (80km) follows the spectacular northern edge of the North York Moors before finishing at Robin Hood’s Bay - the end of the Coast to Coast trail.

Four epic races, one unforgettable adventure. Which Traverse will you take on?
