VJCBAND

Victoria Junior College Symphonic Band (VJCSB) was formed in 1984. From its humble beginnings, the band has since risen to prominence in the Singapore band scene. Throughout its history, VJCSB has performed well at the biennial Singapore Youth Festival. In 2007, VJCSB was awarded the prestigious Gold with Honours award and emerged as one of the top 3 Junior College bands in Singapore. Under the new award scheme in 2013, VJCSB was awarded the highest award - Certificate of Distinction.

In order to provide the players with a holistic music-making experience, the band organizes regular overseas trips. To date, VJCSB has performed in Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, Australia and the United States. Additionally, VJCSB stages annual public concerts at VJC's very own Performance Theatre or at The Esplanade Concert Hall, Singapore's premier concert venue.

Presently, the band's Resident Conductor is Mr Adrian Chiang.
