EXPED was founded in 1983 by the young, adventurous Swiss couple Heidi and Andi Brun after nine months in the Canadian wilderness. Extreme temperatures in winter, building a log cabin, encounters with bears, or living off food from nature have shaped today's philosophy: The maximum outdoor experience with minimal means. Exped AG initially took over the distribution of some well-known outdoor brands. In 1997, EXPED launched its first own products. Today the team designed and built the highest quality specialized gear for the active outdoor enthusiast.
