The Catechumen
Put simply, a catechumen is someone learning the principles of the Christian religion. After being introduced to the church fathers in December 2020, I began to question whether what I believed (then, as a Southern Baptist) was the historic Christian faith. After months of studying and growing, my wife and I decided to pursue full communion with the Catholic Church. We began attending mass in November 2021, started RCIA in May 2022, and were confirmed at the Easter Vigil on April 8, 2023. The goal of this channel is to foster a charitable environment that facilitates the free flow of informative content ordered towards enabling fruitful ecumenical dialogue between Catholics and Protestants and increased clarity on meaningful topics. I hope that, as I continue in my studies, I will never cease to be a "catechumen." We are all still learning and growing. So, I've decided to take you along to document my experience.
