David Kalupa
Mbusa Kalupa David (born 23 mars 1993)
Popularly knowns by his stage name DAVID KALUPA recording artist, actor, dancer and a businessman.
A true super star in Congo Kinshasa, he has had a rich and successful solo career since 2014. With 1 album and 1 Ep to his credit, including NDOTO certified best album, tours in the country, venues in all the provinces. Complete through Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya. David Kalupa has been able to transcend genres and rise even beyond Congolese borders, skillfully mixing traditional Congolese music (Afro fusion, Afro Yira, ndombolo) and more “urban pop” sounds. It is with this desire that David Kalupa developed numerous collaborations on his EP “Mulunge” in 2022 which included Awolo Longomba, Christian Bella, etc.
David Kalupa has developed an increasingly mixed musical direction, like a cultural crossroads between two universes, in order to achieve a new genre of music resolutely turned towards modernity and open to the world.
