Institute for Somali Studies (ISOS) is a non-profit research center within Mogadishu University. aims at knowledge generation through research and analysis on Somalia, Horn of Africa, and the Somali communities in abroad. It is a platform for sharing knowledge, ideas and experience; and promotes analysis of key and contemporary issues and developments. It focuses on issues which are critical to the recovery and rebuilding of Somalia, a country emerging from a devastating civil war.
The ISOS conducts and coordinates researches workshops, conferences, discussions, and dialogues; and disseminates findings, reports, and analysis through publications and events.
The Institute is located in Mogadishu, Somalia.
